  1. This help system includes 1000 articles that relate to the Microsoft Access for Windows. These articles 
  2. were developed by Microsoft's Product Support Engineers . This help file is a snapshot of the Knowledge 
  3. Base as of September 22, 1993. New and updated articles can be found in the MSKB form here on 
  4. Compuserve.  This help file is composed of two files ACC-KB.ZIP and ACC-IN.ZIP.  The ACC-KB.ZIP 
  5. is the actual help file.  If you would like full text search of the help file, you will need ACC-IN.ZIP also.  
  6. You can use ACC-KB.ZIP alone, you just won't have full text search capabilities.

  24. 1.   Create a Windows icon for the ACC-KB.HLP file as follows:
  25.  
  26.     a.  Choose the program group in which you want the icon to appear (typically 
  27.         the Microsoft Access program group).
  28.  
  29.     b.  In Windows Program Manager, choose New from the File menu.
  30.  
  31.     c.  In the New Program Object box, choose Item.
  32.  
  33.     d.  Add the following arguments in the Program Item Properties box:

  35.             Description: Access KB
  36.             Command Line: WINHELP.EXE <path>\ACC-KB.HLP
  37.             Working directory: <path>
  38.  
  39. where <path> is the name of the path in which you placed the Microsoft Access 
  40. Knowledge Base Help file.

  42. Be sure to set the Working directory or you will receive the error:
  43.  
  44.       Routine not found.
  45.  
  46. An icon will appear in the program group you have specified. Double-click the icon 
  47. to open the Help file.  Make sure you set the owrking directory to <path>.  If you 
  48. do not, you will get an error message "Routine not found."
  49.  
  50. Note: The ACC-KB.HLP file requires the WINHELP.EXE file to run. The WINHELP.EXE file 
  51. comes with Microsoft Windows and is originally installed in your WINDOWS 
  52. subdirectory. If it is missing from your system, you can restore it from your 
  53. original Microsoft Windows disks.
